Interview with Sam Willoughby

We are in Melbourne where we will ask questions to the famous BMX champion, Sam Willoughby. Unfortunately, he was the victim of an accident that made him lose the use of his legs in 2016.

-Hello, can we ask you some questions ?

-Yes of course.

-We are taking a tour of Australia. Have you ever done one?

-Yes, I have already done a tour of Australia. It is truly a beautiful country.

-You have been world champion several times, how many times exactly?

-Yes, I have 5 world championship titles.

-How does it feel to be the best in a category?

-Ho, it's really magical, you feel like you're growing wings

-Now that your sports career is over, would you like to do something else, actor for example?

-I don't think so, but it could be very interesting.

-Okay, we're French, have you ever been to France ?

-Yes, I have already been there twice, it is really amazing.

- Awesome, your wife does BMX, doesn't she?

The 12 Apostles

We left Melbourne to go and see one of the most beautiful sites in Australia, the 12 Apostles which is located along the great ocean road in Victoria. We just arrived and it's really beautiful. There is a lot of wind because we are at the edge of the cliff to be able to admire the huge rocks that protrude from the water. The 12 Apostles is the most amazing.

It is the clearest water I have ever seen.We have just been told that a rock
fell a few years ago because of erosion.
There are many people but you can admire them anyway. We also took a
helicopter
ride over the 12 Apostles. It was very impressive. The 12 Apostles is
the most
beautiful places I have ever visited.

Tasmanian Devil

After we visited the 12 Apostles, we went to Tasmania where we saw a rather cute little animal, he's the Tasmanian Devil. It is a carnivore that lives only in Tasmania, explained the guide. It disappeared from the mainland for 400 years ago.It has been a protected species since 1941. 🐻

It is recognized by its black furry and its small white line on the chest. He's a nocturnal hunter, we only saw him for a few minutes. An animal caretaker on the island told us that it was the largest carnivorous marsupials in Tasmania he has ever seen. It was a really great experience.

The plane landed at Alice spring and it was near Uluru, we have been there. It was so beautiful. This site is very large and impressive. I had never seen so incredible thing.

Uluru

After that, we have been to the Great Barrier Reef and we have been scuba diving.

The colors were omnipresent and there was thousands of fish. I had not scuba diving yetThe Great Barrier Reef

Next to Brisbane, we have seen the big t rex. It’s one of the famous Australian big things. It was so high, like the other Big Things I have already seen.

Of course, we have been to Sydney. In this huge city, we have seen incredible things like the Sydney Opera House and its orchestra, the elegant Harbour Bridge and the slender, high Sydney Tower.

All this was even more beautiful at night because, lit by a thousand fires, these monuments reigned in the darkness.

We have not been to the Twelve Apostles yet but tomorrow we’ll go there. My friends told me that the place is beautiful, very sunny and that there are beaches with fine sand where you should not miss a swim.
